There’s no better way to get into the Christmas spirit than with one of our fantastic events here at Venachar Lochside in Scotland! We have something for everyone, including a Hogmanay ceilidh to welcome in the New Year. And prior to that is our afternoon tea with Father Christmas! And, if wild swimming is your thing, or you fancy giving it a wee try, we have our usual Boxing Day and New Year’s Day guided swims in the beautiful loch.
Get in TouchWe kick the Christmas season off with a Christmas market and lunch event over two days.
The market stall will be upstairs, ready for you to buy some unique Christmas gifts. When you are all shopped out, you can enjoy some coffee and cake on our cosy seating on the decking. Or you can really kick the season off in style and join us in the restaurant for a delicious 3-course family-style lunch with a glass of mulled wine. Our market and lunch event will take place on 3rd and 4th December. The lunch is £45 per person and you will need to prebook as this is a popular option and spaces are limited.
Get in TouchFather Christmas will visit us on 17th and 18th of December to see if we have been naughty or nice! Join us for a delicious afternoon tea with Father Christmas. There will be storytelling and Romeo the pony will join us for a visit too! For small children (aged 3-12) this event costs £10, and £25 for the bigger ‘kids’! Please make sure you prebook your space.
Get in TouchCome and swim in the beautiful Loch Venachar with us. Our wild swimming sessions on Boxing Day and New Year’s are self-led – please always swim with a partner. Making them perfect for beginners and veterans alike.
Both sessions start at 11am and we will be offering hot food and drinks to warm you up when you are done. The swimming session is free and the breakfast is just £10 per person. These sessions are normally very popular so make sure you book in advance to guarantee your spot.

Whatsmore, these beautiful wreaths offer a way to be more thrifty and eco-friendly this festive season. Running dates:

Contact UsWhat could be better than celebrating the New Year right than a Hogmanay party night here in Scotland? Join us to experience a traditional Scottish Hogmanay ceilidh, right on the banks of the stunning Loch Venachar.
We will start with a hog roast, then prosecco at the bells with a disco to see the New Year in, all for £80 per person. Furthermore, transport from and to Tigh Mor or Callander is included in the price. There are lots of places to stay nearby so you can make a weekend of it!
