Our lunch menu changes and evolves on a regular basis. Our chefs create seasonal menus, working with local producers forging new relationships with foragers and speciality producers to bring you the best that the great Scottish larder has to offer.
The revolution of Scottish craft spirits and ales means that we can bring you a truly regional offering. Our menus have been designed to explore our country’s wide selection of beverages.
We do gift vouchers from £30, for everything from afternoon tea to a seaplane lunch experience!
Go on... spoil your someone.
Our Vision & Values
We're passionate about our produce, our menus and our team, we're passionate about communicating this with our customers. Our vision is to match Scottish produce with our beautiful Lochside location in a relaxed and informal environment to create a true Scottish dining experience.
Our fish is delivered daily and is accredited by the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) - an independent non-profit organisation which sets the standard for sustainble fishing. All our fish are landed in Scotland and we are particularly proud to use Sheltland Blue Shell mussels - a fantastic multi-award winning product from Brae, Sheltand.
We pick up wonderful local pork, lamb, chicken and beef from our nearest butcher, D Campbell and Sons, Callander. We also source our venison from the beautiful braes of Balquhidder, a wee village just up the A84 from us (and a lovely place to visit as you head up north).
Where possible, we use local and seasonal produce and, in the summer, we grow our own vegetables at Venachar Lochside. This year, we're growing our own runner beans, red onions, garlic, mange tout, beetroot, radishes, chard, scarlett runner beans, carrots, white onions, lettuces, herbs and a range of edible flowers.
The bread we use is baked by Stuart at Main Street Bakery, Callander, every single day (yes, even on a Sunday!). We think his granary bread is some of the very best bread in Scotland. Try it with our soups or on our Venachar sharing board - beautiful with Scottish butter.
